Plastic Jesus

  • Well, I don't care if it rains or freezes,
Long as I have my plastic Jesus
Riding on the dashboard of my car
    Through all trials and tribulations
    We will travel every nation
With my plastic Jesus I'll go far
I don't care if it's dark or scary
Long as I have magnetic Mary
Ridin' on the dashboard of my car
    I feel I'm protected amply
I've got the whole damn Holy Family
Riding on the dashboard of my car
You can buy a Sweet Madonna
Dressed in rhinestones sitting on a
    Pedestal of abalone shell
    Goin' ninety, I'm not wary
'Cause I've got my Virgin Mary
Guaranteeing I won't go to Hell

Other Types Of Sounds

Well, we've moved to potty training in my household. Needless to say this is a VERY exciting time; full of tension and anticipation.

Will I remember to take her to the potty every two hours?

Will she remember to tell me when she needs to go potty inbetween?

Will daycare hold up their end so there there will be seamless transitions?

Will she make it through the night?

Every morning is a new adventure however, so far, I must say things have gone swimmingly. We're five days in and, with the exception of an attack of diarrhea, there have been no accidents, not even overnight.

Still, the process has not been without its moments such as Jessica's unabashed willingness to inform the world about her progress. As in this morning's foray into daycare when everyone who came into contact with her got the following greeting:

"Im wearing underwear".

Priceless.

Will wonder never cease! Not a day goes by where I don't say exactly the same thing to some random person on the street too.

Good job Jessica!

Yeah but do you say it with as much pride as she does? Heh heh heh...

True.

Usually I say it in amazement. :)

That is so precious.
I have a 3 year old daughter and when she was about 2 I started potty training her. I cannot forget one of the first times she actually "went" while she was sitting there. I enthusiastically praised her, and she told me, "Mommy I made it just for you." Kids are great. :)
